Lorin Bektas admitted that she had plans to have a nose job; however, she decided to stop herself from doing so after discovering how expensive its average cost was.
Bektas, who is the daughter of Ruffa Gutierrez with her ex-husband Yilmaz Bektas, opened up about her initial plans to get a nose job in Los Angeles, California, during a recent TikTok live, while giving a makeup tutorial to her followers.
“I started calling plastic surgery offices in [Los Angeles]… ‘Oh, what would the cost be?’ Please guess how much these people are quoting me. $70 thousand. Isn’t that like P3 million?” she began.
“Excuse me? I would rather look like Pinocchio for the rest of my life than pay that money!” she continued.

Taking the cost as a “sign from God,” Bektas said it was a reminder to humble herself and would rather spend the money on something else.
“That was a sign from God to be like, ‘Girl, no. Humble yourself. You are not getting your nose done. Like, hell, no,’” she said. “Seventy thousand dollars. I [can] buy myself literally three Birkins, and have my big nose gladly. What the F.”
The content creator then clarified that she intended to have “slight tweaks” done to her nose. “The thing with the Philippines, my nose is like the Filipino nose. So, I feel like [the cosmetic surgeons in the Philippines] wouldn’t know how to do it. This is another thing… I’m not saying my nose is awful.”
“There are just like slight tweaks. They’re just small… I’m not asking them to break my nose and remove the bone,” she continued. “I want the most subtle differences, and I told them that when I was getting the quote. So for the most subtle difference, you’re gonna charge me with $70,000?”

Staying on the topic, Bektas added that she “doesn’t know” if she would consider having her nose done. She also opened up about wanting to be a plastic surgeon in the future.
“I think I want to be a plastic surgeon. Because I think, plastic surgeons make bank. It would be fun… If you’re a plastic surgeon, the worst thing that could happen is just you make someone pangit (ugly),” she said.
Bektas is currently taking up Integrated Marketing and Advertising at Pepperdine University in California. According to Ruffa, she is set to graduate by December of this year.
“My kids love studying, and they love educating themselves. Whenever they study, I will support them,” Gutierrez said of her daughters in an April 2025 interview. “For my kids, I feel like I’m an OFW, but I’m the one who is in the Philippines, and they’re abroad. I’m the one sending money for their education.” /edv
