Job Description

FROUSA Media is seeking volunteer civic writers to report on underrepresented local issues, community stories, and social justice matters across Comal County and beyond. Your writing will contribute to platforms like The Felicia Files and C4: Coffee. Cocktails. Culture. Conversation.

Responsibilities:

  • Pitch or accept story assignments based on community issues
  • Conduct research and interviews with individuals, leaders, or experts
  • Write articles or narrative features that center people-first journalism
  • Collaborate with editors and fact-checkers for publishing
  • Attend public meetings or events for reporting when possible

This role is perfect for thoughtful communicators who believe in the power of stories to drive change. Whether you’re an emerging writer, a retired professional, or someone reclaiming their voice, this position lets you write with purpose and impact. Your work will directly support the mission of FROUSA to tell the truth from the inside out.
