1. Who we are and what these terms cover

These Terms govern your use of properties operated by and for Felicia Ray Owens and FRO Media under the Greater Brain Group LLC umbrella, including FeliciaRay.com and FROUSA.org, along with related newsletters, forms, submission portals, events pages, and the Coffee. Cocktails. Culture. Conversation. (C4) podcast. Some pages may also reference community efforts like Felicia’s Action Network (F.A.N.) and Indivisible organizing.

By accessing our sites or services, you agree to these Terms.

2. Acceptance of terms

Use of our sites or services means you have read, understand, and accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the sites.

3. Accounts and security

Some features may require an account. Provide accurate information, safeguard your credentials, and notify us of suspected unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account.

4. Acceptable use

Use our sites for lawful purposes only. Do not attempt to disrupt services, breach security, scrape content, deploy bots without permission, impersonate others, or submit unlawful, defamatory, or harassing material.

5. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise noted, site content is owned by Greater Brain Group LLC or its licensors. You may not copy, adapt, or distribute site materials without permission. You retain rights to your own submissions as described below.

6. Community submissions and contributor content

We welcome community participation through story submissions, op-eds, tips, and event listings. When you submit content via our forms or email:

  • License – You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to review, edit for clarity or legal compliance, publish, reproduce, distribute, promote, and archive your submission across FeliciaRay.com, FROUSA.org, our newsletters, social channels, and podcast materials.
  • Bylines – We typically publish under your name. If you prefer a byline style we support, note it at submission. We may reject anonymous submissions that cannot be verified.
  • Accuracy – You represent the content is your own or you have permission to submit it, and to the best of your knowledge it is accurate and lawful. No hate speech, targeted harassment, or incitement.
  • Editorial discretion – Not all submissions are published. We may edit, decline, or remove content at our discretion.
  • No payment – Unless expressly agreed in writing, submissions are unpaid and you waive claims to compensation, royalties, or approval of edits.
  • Attribution materials – If you provide photos, logos, or media, you grant the same license for those materials.

7. Events and community listings

Event listings may be submitted by the public or sourced from community calendars. We do not guarantee accuracy, availability, or safety of any event. Attendance is at your own risk. We are not liable for cancellations, changes, or third-party conduct. If you post an event, you are responsible for the accuracy of details and for any required permissions or permits.

8. Media, recording, and the C4 podcast

Our journalism and C4 may occur in public spaces. By attending a recorded session or engaging with on-site microphones or cameras, you understand you may be captured in audio, photo, or video. Participation in interviews requires a release. For public venues, incidental background audio or imagery may appear. Food and beverage consumption during recordings is at your own risk.

9. Payments and donations

  • General and non-campaign – Some purchases or donations may be processed through trusted processors such as Paymattic or similar services. Processor terms apply in addition to these Terms. Unless a specific policy states otherwise, all sales or donations are final except where required by law.
  • Campaign – Political donations and activities for Forward With Felicia are handled separately, generally via ActBlue, and are governed by campaign finance rules. See feliciaray.com/forward-with-felicia/terms for campaign-specific terms.

10. Privacy

Your use of our sites is also governed by our Privacy Policy, explaining how we collect, use, and share information, including the use of email, SMS, and CRM tools to manage subscriptions, event updates, and contributor communications. See feliciaray.com/privacy-policy. Where legally required, we will obtain consent for marketing messages and you can opt out at any time.

11. Third-party links and tools

Our sites link to third-party content and services. We are not responsible for their practices or policies. Use third-party services at your own risk and review their terms.

12. Disclaimers

Our sites and services are provided “as is”. We make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, reliability, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. News and commentary may include opinion.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the sites or services.

14. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Greater Brain Group LLC, FRO Media, their officers, employees, and agents from claims arising from your use of the sites, your submissions, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted with an updated effective date. Continued use signifies acceptance.

16. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Venue for any dispute will be the state or federal courts located in or serving Comal County, Texas.
