Frequently Asked Questions

Her She Squad

  • Can I suggest a book for the HSS Book Club?

Absolutely. We welcome recommendations. Members can submit book suggestions inside the HSS Community, and we review them seasonally when we’re choosing the next title. Suggestions don’t have to fit a specific genre — they just need to align with the kind of honest, healing, reflective work we do together. Your voice matters here.

  • What is the HSS Book Club?

The HSS Book Club is a reading space created for women who want to grow, heal, and reconnect with themselves through stories, conversation, and community. It’s part of the larger Her She Squad journey, so every book we read ties back to the seasonal themes we’re working through as a collective. The Book Club isn’t just about finishing a book — it’s about slowing down, taking a breath, and giving yourself space to think, feel, and be honest about where you are in your own life.

  • How do I join the Book Club?

If you’re part of Her She Squad , you’re already welcome to join the Book Club. All you have to do is grab the book we’re currently reading and follow along with the updates inside the HSS Community space. We post reading guides, chapter reflections, prompts, and announcements there. Some women read on schedule, some take their time — there’s no pressure and no rules. The only expectation is that you show up for yourself.

  • How often do we read or choose new books?

Each book is connected to one of our seasonal healing themes, so the timing depends on where we are in the cycle. Some seasons call for a quick, energizing read. Others require something deeper and more reflective. When we shift into a new season, we introduce a new Book Club pick and set a soft reading rhythm. There’s no rush — our pace follows the season, not a deadline.

  • Do I need a membership to access the Book Club?

Yes, access to the HSS Book Club is gated through the Her She Squad community. That keeps the space safe, intentional, and aligned with the women who are doing this work together. If you already have access to the HSS Community, you’ll automatically see the Book Club space. If not, you can request access through the membership link, and once approved, you’ll be able to participate fully

  • I have to be a member of Her She Squad to book?

No. While MOTA is the official travel arm of Her She Squad, we also curate trips for non-members. Some HSS-exclusive journeys will require membership for access.

  • What if I fall behind on reading in the HSS Book Club?

You’re not “behind” — life happens. The HSS Book Club isn’t designed to stress anyone out or add another demand to your plate. If you need time, take it. The reading prompts, reflections, and discussions stay posted so you can rejoin whenever you’re ready. What matters is that you’re consistent with yourself, not the schedule.

  • What kinds of books do we read in the HSS Book Club?

We read books that support the emotional, spiritual, and personal work happening inside Her She Squad . That includes memoirs, cultural reflections, personal growth, healing-centered stories, and books written by women whose lived experiences speak to where we are collectively. Every selection aligns with the seasonal theme we’re working through, so the book meets you where you are — not the other way around.

  • How do I get the reading schedule for the HSS Book Club?

The reading schedule is posted directly inside the HSS Community , along with chapter breakdowns, prompts, and any reflections tied to that season’s theme. It’s flexible by design. Some women follow it week by week, and others move at their own pace. The schedule is there as a guide — not a requirement — so you have structure without pressure.

  • Will the authors ever join us in the HSS Book Club?

Yes, sometimes. When a book aligns with our seasonal theme and the author is open to it, we invite them to join us for a conversation. Some of these discussions may also be recorded for upcoming C4 episodes, depending on the topic. Author sessions are always optional but deeply meaningful when they happen — it’s a chance to hear the story behind the story.

  • Can you book regular vacations, too?

Yes — flights, hotels, cruises, all-inclusive resorts, and more. Even if your trip isn’t focused on healing or community, you still get our concierge-level care and access to exclusive travel perks.

  • What types of trips do you offer?

We design intentional journeys — from grounding retreats and cultural immersions to service-based travel and plant-based healing experiences (where legally permitted). Every trip is customized to your needs and comfort level.

  • Are your trips 420-friendly or plant medicine-friendly?

Some journeys may include plant-based wellness elements where legal. If you’re seeking a trip that incorporates these experiences, we’ll guide you through compliant options in safe, reputable locations.

  • What’s included in my booking?

It depends on your trip. We can arrange flights, lodging, transportation, curated excursions, infused wellness menus, and more. You’ll receive a clear, detailed itinerary before you travel.

  • How far in advance should I book?

For retreats and international journeys, we recommend at least 3–6 months’ notice. For custom trips, the more time we have, the more we can personalize your experience.

  • Do you handle group travel?

Yes — from women’s retreats and couples’ escapes to corporate wellness trips and family reunions. We also organize service-based journeys for groups who want to give back while they travel.

  • How do payments work?

Most trips require a deposit to secure your spot, with the balance due before departure. Payment plans are available for select journeys.

  • Do you provide travel insurance?

We offer travel protection and strongly recommend it for all trips. This can help cover unexpected events like illness, delays, or cancellations.
