Job Description
We’re capturing the stories that don’t always make the paper. This role invites you to meet locals, ask questions that matter, and write up the moments that reveal who we are as a community.
- Conduct and transcribe interviews with local residents
- Follow leads from organizers, businesses, schools, and civic events
- Draft short or longform pieces based on interviews
- Maintain ethical, respectful interview practices
- Coordinate with editors for story framing
- Help build the “Local Voices” archive
You don’t need to be a trained journalist—just someone who listens well, writes clearly, and honors real people’s truth. This role centers the stories behind the scenes.
