SDS calls on all students and youth to take up the fight to protect their campuses from ICE. Under the new Trump administration college campuses are no longer safe from ICE. Trump has signed an executive order to declare a national emergency on the US Mexico border, allowing him to deploy troops to increase the rate of deportation. The Department of Homeland Security has revoked the protective status of schools, places of worship and hospitals. Currently, an estimated 800 immigrants are being arrested daily by ICE, and we know this number will continue to increase as Trump unleashes more attacks on immigrants. Students and administration have a duty to protect our fellow students, regardless of legal status.

SDS is calling on all chapters and affilliates to mobilize for a National Week of Action starting February 23rd to say:
No Deportations!
ICE off Campus!
Legalization for all!
