Felicia Ray Owens

As a wife, mother, entrepreneur, and public servant, I’ve dedicated my life to building platforms that uplift others. From founding FRO Media and creating spaces for women through Her She Squad, to organizing community action through F.A.N., my mission is clear: to help people grow, rise, and thrive—together.

Meet Felicia

I am a writer, public servant, and founder of FRO Media, home to FROUSA.org—the only independent outlet covering the Hill Country from the inside out. Born and raised in Dallas, I now call New Braunfels home, where I continue to raise my family and fight for the future of our community.

I’m currently pursuing a degree in real estate law to deepen my work on housing and community equity. From affordable housing and safe neighborhoods to protecting our water and supporting small businesses, my work is about building a city that is livable, transparent, and truly inclusive.

Why I Serve

My journey from survival to leadership has always been about creating spaces where voices aren’t silenced and communities aren’t ignored. As a wife and mother raising my family in New Braunfels, I know what it means to fight for stability, opportunity, and truth in a city that doesn’t always work for everyone.

I believe leadership means showing up — not hiding behind titles, closed doors, or backroom deals. It means standing with families who are priced out of housing, small business owners who can’t access resources, and neighbors who deserve safe streets and clean water.

This work isn’t about politics. It’s about service, equity, and legacy — ensuring that my daughters, and every child growing up in the Hill Country, inherit a community that truly belongs to them.

This is why I’ve stepped forward to run for New Braunfels City Council – District 4.

“True leadership isn’t about titles or backroom deals—it’s about service, truth, and the courage to stand with your community.” — Felicia Ray Owens
