Hi Everyone,

I want to share something personal so you hear it directly from me.

Over the past several weeks, I’ve been more distant than usual. Some of you noticed changes in my availability, including my decision to step away from a federal campaign just before the primary. I chose not to speak on it at the time because I needed to focus on what was happening privately.

I’ve recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. I’m currently working through a treatment plan that will include a major surgery in the near future. I’m taking this one step at a time and focusing on my health.

I’m asking for privacy and respect for me and my family as we move through this. I’ll share updates when I’m ready, but for now I need the space to handle this with care.
