Last Call: No Kings New Braunfels Rally Shirts

Yesterday our community gathered in for a hands-on sign-making party ahead of the upcoming No Kings NBTX rally and Voices of the People Music Fest.
Neighbors showed up with paint, markers, ideas, and a lot of energy. Tables filled quickly with bright poster boards, creative slogans, and thoughtful conversations about why people care about showing up for their community.
A special thank you goes to Di Fontenot, who generously opened her home and garage so the group could gather, create, and prepare for the upcoming rally. Community organizing only works because people are willing to share their time and their spaces, and we are grateful to Di for helping make this happen.
Events like this remind us that civic engagement does not always start in a meeting room. Sometimes it starts around a folding table with paint markers, snacks, and neighbors getting to know each other.
But what many people may not realize is that the volunteers helping organize these events are part of something much larger.
Our Work in Comal County
The volunteers behind these efforts are part of F.A.N. — Felicia’s Action Network.
F.A.N. is a growing local volunteer network serving New Braunfels and all of Comal County. While many people first hear about us through events like No Kings, our work extends far beyond rallies.
Our volunteers regularly step up to support the community in many ways, including:
• Helping feed people experiencing homelessness
• Planting and maintaining community gardens
• Organizing peaceful rallies and civic events
• Hosting educational forums and information sessions
• Supporting projects that build homes for veterans and survivors of domestic violence
• Connecting neighbors with opportunities to serve their community
At its core, F.A.N. is about people helping people locally.
It is neighbors showing up for neighbors.
It is community members who believe that when people work together, they can strengthen the place they live.
